About Southern Plumbing

Our Story

The foundation of Southern Plumbing began years before the company was officially started.

The owner’s journey into the plumbing industry started while attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. During that time, he worked side jobs alongside his father, a licensed plumber based in Lafayette. Those early experiences provided a first look at the plumbing trade and the importance of doing quality work while treating customers with respect.

During his second year of college, his father made the decision to start his own plumbing company. Seeing the opportunity to gain real-world experience and help build a business from the ground up, he chose to step away from college and fully commit to the trade.

Working closely with his father during the early years of the company provided valuable experience not only in plumbing work, but also in business operations, customer service, and maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Building Experience

While working full time in the field, he attended trade school and earned his Journeyman Plumbing License. This combination of formal education and hands-on experience helped build a strong technical foundation and a deep understanding of plumbing systems, safety standards, and building codes.

Over the next several years, he continued working in the field and expanding his skills while helping grow the family business.

Later, he and his girlfriend Bre decided to return home to the New Orleans area. After moving back, he worked under Bre’s uncle, an established plumbing professional in the region. This experience provided additional insight into plumbing systems throughout the Greater New Orleans area and further strengthened his knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing work.

A Major Milestone

In 2024, after years of experience and continued professional development, he earned his Master Plumber License. This achievement marked a major milestone and confirmed his qualifications to operate independently at the highest level of the trade.

Later that year, in December 2024, Southern Plumbing was officially founded.

The goal from the beginning was clear: build a plumbing company known for honest work, dependable service, and strong relationships with customers.

Growing in the Community

In December of 2025, Southern Plumbing proudly celebrated its first year in business.
